How to find a Trustworthy Tradesperson

Finding a trustworthy locksmith or indeed, other tradesperson can be fraught with problems and it is not always possible to get a personal recommendation, which is a wise route.

There are, however, various organisations that can help you find a reliable person. If it is a locksmith you need, the MLA (Master Locksmiths’ Association) is a very good resource although there are many locksmiths who are not members but who are perfectly competent, experienced and properly trained.

Some choose to add to their credibility by joining the various other industry organisations such as:

Trades such as electricians, plumbers, builders, heating and plumbing engineers, double glazing installers etc all have their own trade associations offering some level of protection for the consumer.

Members should display an official logo on their website and vehicles which the consumer is able to check for authenticity.
